Break

Hame

People who grew up as only children, children of divorce, half-orphans, orphans, or latchkey kids deserve to have their needs respected too.

OUR Goddamn brains develop differently based on our environments. we need alone time or we experience higher levels of stress.

Birth order does not determine everything but our lives shape our brain development.

If a person grows up alone most of the time then they need time alone.

Introversion and extroversion exist on a spectrum. No one’s right or wrong - just different. Anyone can suffer from prolonged loneliness. It’s also I imagine common to feel overwhelmed by other peoples’ presence.

05

Children who grow up in high-stress environments adapt. Some lose their capacity for others - most develop a heightened sensitivity. It feels like standing in a room full of wall-to-wall screaming to focus on other peoples’ needs without respite. You may not mean to torture people who were lonely children, but if you do not give us the alone time we beg for you hurt us.

Everyone’s needs are valid.

How about we figure out a system of low-cost “I NEED TO GET AWAY FROM PEOPLE” getaway rooms? I’m bad at math and logistics.
